At Women Of OZ, our mission is centered on women’s health and wellness creating a welcoming and non-intimidating environment for all individuals who identify as women, regardless of background or skill level. The beauty of who we are, is we come from all backgrounds, races, beliefs, workplaces, lifestyles, and experiences, but at the end of the day, we love to ride together. Our mission is to get more women on bikes because we believe biking is the best way to facilitate community and fun experiences. And we want you to be a part of it, with us! We are always learning and growing, and hope you join our community and help us become more inclusive to all individuals.

Today, we’d like to introduce to you WOZ Race Team Member, Kelsey Rodriguez (@kelsey.rodrey)!
Kelsey and her family relocated here about a year ago and are loving life in the land of OZ! Her favorite type of riding is cross country – to her, more miles equals more happiness! She’s a nurse and a proud mom to two little girl shredders. If Kelsey had to pick a single trail snack for the rest of her life, it would definitely be a beef stick.

Today, we’d like to introduce to you WOZ Race Team Member, Claudia Hornbeck (@claudhornbeck)!
Claudia was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. She fell in love with mountain biking in 2022, but she also really enjoys cross country riding. She’s a newbie to racing, but is excited to represent WOZ!
She is a social worker and has worked in a variety of settings for the past decade, but most recently she works remotely as a case manager. A fun fact about Claudia is that she’s a certified yoga instructor!

BIG NEWS! Please read. 👇
The creation of Sunset Summit over the past two years has been a dream come true. However, we`ve made the decision to pause this event for 2024. This pause will afford us to enhance the experience for all women in the future.
At Women of OZ, our focus remains on our mission to empower women in Northwest Arkansas to embrace mountain biking by breaking down barriers. To live this mission, we are evolving to try new and different things.
For 2024 we are planning a different fundraising event. We are thrilled at the prospect of engaging our community in this new endeavor as it presents a wonderful opportunity to continue our impactful work.
Our 2024 fundraising event will be Saturday, September 14th (same weekend the summit was scheduled). This will be an opportunity to fundraise for our non-profit to help fund the organization. We`ll be in touch with more details but you can expect a really fun party!
If you or a friend have purchased a “save your spot” ticket for the Sunset Summit, we’ll be in touch with options.
